Don’t we all have loads of scrap yarn laying around because we just can’t bring ourselves to throw it out? This crochet ornament pattern can be hung up on the tree or add that extra touch to your wrapped presents this year! This pattern is super versatile and can use any yarn and corresponding hook size. Below is my pattern with suggested yarn and hook size to make it exactly as I have pictured, but use whatever you have to make this extra special.

Materials:

4mm crochet hook

Weight 3/ light weight 4 yarn

Pattern:

1: ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, *(ch 6, sc in same ch)* repeat 5 times, ch 2, tr in 1st sc. There should be 6 loops

2: ch 8, dc in same loop, ch 6, *(dc, ch 5, dc) in next loop, ch 6* repeat to end, sl st to 3rd ch in beginning ch 8. There should be 12 loops

3: sl st in 1st loop, ch 6, (tr, ch 5, tr, ch 2, tr) in same loop, ch 1, sc in next ch 6 loop, ch 1, *(tr, ch 2, tr, ch 5, tr, ch 2, tr) in next ch 5 loop, ch 1, sc in next ch 6 loop, ch 1* repeat to end, sl st to 4th ch in beginning ch 6. There should be 6 points

4: sl st to ch 5 space, ch 15, sl st in top of next tr, cut off. This is just the loop to hang your ornament from! feel free to make this as long or short as you need, or omit all together.
