Even though I was born in the late 90’s and grew up in the early 2000’s, I can always appreciate a great scrunchie. They’re definitely making a come back and I totally understand why! Scrunchies are a cute accessory that don’t pull on your hair and look adorable on your wrist. 

Velvet scrunchies are some of my best sellers at markets too! They’re an item that are quick and inexpensive to make so you can price them under $10. It’s a simple item that customers can grab if they come up to your booth and love everything about you and your brand but don’t want to spend a ton of money. Scrunchies are great for all ages too so little kids love them! 

Lets get down to the pattern!

Materials:

Weight 5 velvet yarn

6 mm crochet hook

Plain hair tie 

Pattern:

1: SC evenly around the hair tie so there are no spaces left in between the stitches

I made 60 SC but this will vary depending on how large your hair tie is 

Join to first SC with SL ST

2: CH 2, DC in same ST as CH 2, 2 DC in each st around, join with SL ST to top do CH 2

Cut and tie off
